19 Jun FitMiReview: Adidas NMD XR1 with Marshall Raw
It’s our first FitMi Review! Marshall Raw tells us all about his new favourite trainers the Adidas NMD XR1. The XR1 were a new NMD model released on the 18th August 2016. Adidas’ NMD’s have always been popular, but the XR1’s have brought a new level of style to the trainer, using Primeknit material with, XR1 detailing from that synthetic lace cage to the leather heel patch at the rear.
Marshall talks us through how it rates for style, comfort, wearability and value for money. Check out his review below (with his own special Marshall Raw scale).
1 = Whack and 10 = Smack
Style – 10/10
These are great looking trainers and I love to wear them. In terms of style, for me, they are up at the top, depending on the color scheme you go for, as some colours are fantastic.
Comfort – 6/10
I have to give it to the Adidas NMD range their shoes are very comfortable but, not as comfortable as some other great styles i.e the Adidas Ultra Boost are definitely the most comfortable.
Wearability – 8/10
So in terms of training these are fine for basic training, which doesn’t involve too much moving around or quick changes in direction (Squats, Lunges, Bench Work). I wouldn’t wear them for running, long or short distance, BUT I would definitely wear them to casual days out in the City or chill spots. Not in muddy or dusty places and I wouldn’t want to get them dirty as I suffer from Kicks OCD, but if that’s your jam, bring some baby wipes.
Value for Money – 5/10
In terms of price and what I paid, £124.99 was a bit much, but me buying these shoes is a bit of a long story involving @LewisParisFitness aka The MYTH. Personally I think £80 is more of a suitable price but hey, London, 2017 what do you expect?
